Marilyn and her cherished Cochin hen, called Eggetta Crusty are proud founding members of the Waiheke Poultry and Pigeon Club. She is very close to Eggetta, as she hand raised her and took her to school under her Panama hat. Now Eggetta often nests in Marilyn’s hair. one morning, she awoke to find 12 freshly laid eggs entangled in her straw like dreadlocks. It was then she realised Eggetta had potential to win awards not any awards but big awards, and she was right. NZ Best in Show 2022 and NZ Breeder of the Year. Fame at last !

Belinda Fabris is a sculptural artist using ceramics and clay as her primary medium. Fabris’ prolific output of quirky characters and her ceramic commentaries on the material trappings of common people use humour to both play with the codes of artistic institutions themselves and to comment on the psychosocial conditions of mankind.
