Original works of Aotearoa New Zealand art from some of Waiheke Island’s best painters, potters, and sculptors.
Past Exhibitions
Autumn
The Autumn exhibition was in partnership with Kennedy Point Vineyard and included a range of painters and sculptors from Waiheke Island.
Winter
The Winter exhibition was in partnership with Rangihoua Estate, one of the island’s many olive producers, and included a live raku firing of pottery on the night, as well as painting and sculptures from emerging and established artists.
Summer
This Summer we organised the Surfdale Art Stroll, a self-guided stroll to four galleries in Surfdale, Waiheke Island that also included two pop-up Artisphere galleries. Our pop-up gallery included works by painter Jamie Reid and ceramicist Gail Barratt, and we also featured works by ceramicists Belinda Fabris and Liz Harrop in the lovely garden at the Middle Restaurant and Bar.
Stuart Jobling & Barry Danby
We loved working with two of the great personalities of the Waiheke art scene, Stuart Jobling & Barry Danby to create their first exhibition together in 20 years. With a long career as a full-time artist Stuart is now accompanied on his artistic path by his partner Barry who has recently rediscovered his love of pottery and developing sculptural works influenced by Stuart’s mixed-media approach to painting. The show ran 23 September - 9 October at Gallery Anomalous in Surfdale, Waiheke Island.
